![]() I started with the star of the menu, the Haystack. On a busy Saturday afternoon, our wait wasn’t more then 10 minutes. The restaurant advertises that everything is made fresh and you might have to wait a little bit for your food. We also ordered a burger (with everything), fries and an all beef hot dog with cheese and silo sauce. ![]() I went for the smaller option and the 16 year old cashier confirmed my order with a tone that made me feel that my man-liness was in question. There’s an $11 large roll or a smaller $6 roll. I had to order a Haystack, there was really no choice. On our visit there was just one cashier who must have just turned 16, but he was killing it and making the line move quickly. As you walk into the restaurant, the (open-ish) kitchen is on your right and the order counter with a giant menu is on your left. There is an ice cream stand inside an old caboose in front of the restaurant and plenty of outdoor seating. Food was Here” signs posted around the building.Īs we walked up to the restaurant we noticed several people with lawn chairs enjoying the day, although most of them appeared to have brought their own food. Pictures of Richman are plastered everywhere inside the restaurant and even posted on the menu outside. In case you forgot that Adam Richman visited the restaurant in 2010, you will quickly be reminded as soon as you arrive. On our trip last weekend, it was a nice sunny day and we thought it was a perfect time to finally try out The Silo. We don’t travel out to Lewiston that often and if we make the drive, it’s normally just to eat at Carmelo’s and/or Hibbard’s Custard (if you haven’t visited either, you are missing out). This was still in the early years of Buffalo Eats. In fact, I wasn’t very familiar with Lewiston in general. Food to Lewiston and filmed himself shoving a large Haystack in his face, I had never heard of The Silo. I really want to give this place the benefit of the doubt and thank you for taking good precautions for COVID and being open during COVID.Before Adam Richman brought the Travel Channel show Man Vs. My experience last night was just ok though. I will update my review as soon as I try some more things on the menu and have some additional experience at this establishment. I will probably go back because this is a favorite of one of my friends and maybe next time I'll try a burger and some additional appetizers. The ambiance is very nice they have a cool train on the ceiling and a very unique building. ![]() The actual pizza was good once you get past that. I just picked some of them off and it was good. ![]() The tomato's in the tomato sauce on the pizza were a little too chunky at times for me I assume that might just be the way they do it and if that floats your boat I get it and that's totally fine. Pizza was decent and I ate all of it except the crust I just wish the crust had a little more flavor to it or give an option to make it a different kind of crust. I also found myself having to flag down the waitress to refill our water a couple times even though it wasn't that busy. Not a big deal whatsoever but I found that a little strange as I've never experienced that before at any restaurant. Service was quick and fast however there were some hiccups in the service such as having to change servers because they were too busy apparently but there weren't a whole lot of people there. My friends and I ordered the cheesy garlic bread with marinara which was very good and I was very surprised (better than Cheesecake Factory). Like a previous reviewer, I am new to the area and visited the Silo Restaurant last night.
